1. The first Cycle of Strife on a server has no limitations on how many Shadow raids can be run in a single day. For every subsequent Cycle of Strife after that, there will be a limit on both how many Shadow raids can be run in a single day as well as how many Shadow raids can be run simultaneously.
2. Vault Supplies are collected by defeating guards and opening chests. Upon leaving the Vault, stolen Vault Supplies will be destroyed.
3. While raiding, Shadows have a chance of stealing stockpiled Immortal resources, such as Gold, Hilts, and equipment, from chests. There is a weekly limit as to how many Immortal chests a Shadow can open that will include these stockpiled Immortal resources. Once that limit has been reached, Immortal chests will only drop Vault Supplies.
4. Shadows also gain Activity from opening chests.
5. The Vault has special guards: Wardens. If Wardens detect Shadows, they will sound an alarm and alert Immortals.
6. Wardens can be interrupted, so attack quickly.
7. Immortals can queue up in parties of four to defend the Vault once an alarm is raised. The Immortal party at the top of their queue with comparable strength to your Shadow raid will be given priority to defend. If there is no Immortal party in the queue that is of comparable strength to your Shadow raid, then the team at the top of the queue will be asked to defend. If your Shadow raid is of a higher strength than the Immortal party asked to defend, they will be warned.
8. It's up to the Shadows to decide if they will exit the Vault or fight the Immortals.
9. The further the Shadows proceed into the Vault during the raid, the more Essentia they can steal and destroy from the Immortals.
10. Shadows will keep everything they have stolen in the run even when they are defeated by the Immortals.
11. Immortals are rewarded based on how well they defend the Vault.
