Diablo Immortal rules: Elder Rift & crests

1. Elder Rifts are replayable dungeons that can be completed in just a few minutes.

2. Fill the Rift Progress meter to summon a Rift Guardian.

3. Defeat Rift Guardians within the allotted time limit to earn bonus rewards.

1. A maximum of 10 Crests per player per rift award Fading Embers to every member of the party.

2. Bring your Fading Embers to the Fading Embers and Telluric Fragments trader who sells Telluric Fragments to craft Legendary Gems.

1. You can use Crests to add modifiers and receive additional rewards from Elder Rifts. After choosing three Crests, you can additionally add seven more Crests to further modify the Elder Rift and reap even more rewards. When adding the additional seven, Crests will auto-fill in the following order: Legendary Crests, Eternal Legendary Crests, and finally Rare Crests. If you have over 100 Rare Crests you can optionally add an additional 90 to run 100 Rare Crests at a time.

2. Rare Crests reward Telluric Fragments and a chance to drop a Legendary Gem.

3. Legendary Crests reward Telluric Fragments and a guaranteed Legendary Gem.

4. Use 10 Legendary Crests at once to create an Empowered Rift with 6 modifiers, dropping 10 times the rewards of a single Legendary Crest.

1. Used to add modifiers to Elder Rifts.

2. Guarantees Telluric Fragments and an unbound Legendary Gem from Rift Guardians.

3. Unbound Legendary Gems can be sold on the market.

3. Random probabilities of Legendary Crests also apply to Eternal Legendary Crests.

4. Grants Fading Embers to all party members upon completion of an Elder Rift.

2. Drops of each Crest used are independent of other random outcomes.

3. Legendary Gems of the same rarity have equal chances of dropping (Note: Fervent Fang does not drop from Elder Rift and can't be crafted).

12. Every 50 Legendary Crests used guarantee one 5-Star (Quality 2-5) Legendary Gem (Eternal Legendary Crests and Legendary Crests have separate counters).

When a 5-Star Legendary Gem drops while using a Legendary Crest, Quality drop rates are:

5-Star (Quality 2): 75%

5-Star (Quality 3): 20%

5-Star (Quality 4): 4%

5-Star (Quality 5): 1%

The chance to receive each rarity of Rift Modifier when using a Crest:

4. Uncommon: 34%

5. Rare: 2%

1. Elder Rift drop rates for Legendary Gems are based on Crest rarity.

2. When multiple Crests are used, each Crest generates random drops independently.

3. Legendary Gems of the same rarity have equal chances of dropping.

1. 1-Star: 5%

Drop chance for a Legendary Gem when using Eternal Legendary Crests or Legendary Crests:

1-Star Legendary Gems: 75.395%

2-Star Legendary Gems: 20.105%

2. When a 5-Star Legendary Gem drops, the probability of the final quality is:

2 Stars: 75%

3 Stars: 20%

4 Stars: 4%

5 Stars: 1%

4. For every 50 Legendary Crests used, you are guaranteed to receive one 5-Star Legendary Gem.

5. For 50 Eternal Legendary Crests used, you are guaranteed to receive one 5-Star Legendary Gem that is tradable.

6. Eternal Legendary Crests are counted separately from Legendary Crests.

1. As of April 2025, some less popular Legendary Gems have been removed from the Standard Drop Rates Pool, reducing the overall pool of gems to 48 (16 per rarity).

2. However, the STandard Drop Rates pool also allows players to select 1 removed gem from each rarity to add back to the drop pool in case they still wish to acquire them as Elder Rift drops.

The following Legendary Gems have been removed from the Standard Drop Rates pool:

5-Star Gems: Zwenson's Haunting, Concentrated Will, Hellfire Fragment, Phoenix Ashes, Chip of Stoned Flesh, Howler's Call, Hilt of Many Realms, Frozen Heart

4. 2-Star Gems: Unity Crystal, Battleguard, Follower's Burden, Cutthroat's Grin, Tear of the Comet, Mossthorn

5. 1-Star Gems: Seled's Weakening, Nightmare Wreath, Zod Stone, Lo's Focused Gaze, Exigent Echo, Chained Death, Unrefined Passage, Eye of the Unyielding, The Black Rose, Respite Stone

Newer Legendary Gems released since May 2024 were not considered for removal from teh Standard Drop Rates pool.

1. Rift Modifiers have 1 of 3 different rarities: Common, Uncommon, and Rare.

2. Each Crest used to open an Elder Rift grants rift modifiers that are indpenedently selected for each Crest.

The chance to receive each rarity of rife modified when using a Rare Crest or Legendary Crest are:

1. Common Rift Modifier: 64%

2. Uncommon Rift Modifier: 34%

3. Rare Rift Modifier: 2%
