Diablo 5 Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 and Steam

Blizzard has not officially announced a single platform for Diablo V (Diablo 5) – not PC, PS5, Xbox or Switch 2 (as of October 19, 2026). Blizzard only calls PC and Battle.net “foundational” to the company and stresses that this is not a full platform announcement.

What Blizzard says about platforms

At a press conference during BlizzCon 2026, someone from the PR team whispered “PC version” to Joe Shely, who joked back: “You’re not supposed to tell them!” Kotaku then reported that Diablo V was confirmed for PC. Blizzard pushed back in writing: it is not announcing platforms yet and will share details when it is ready.

On September 21, 2026, Blizzard added a clarification. The remark came from the Diablo PR director and only acknowledged that PC and Battle.net are foundational to Blizzard – explicitly not an announcement of its complete platform plans. That makes PC and Battle.net the only systems Blizzard has mentioned in connection with Diablo V at all, but even PC is not officially announced.

The statements word for word

“We are not announcing platforms today. We are building Diablo V for Spring 2029 and StarCraft for 2030 and will share platform details when we are ready.”

“For Diablo, we want to clarify that the comment came from the Diablo PR Director and it was an acknowledgement that PC and Battle.net are foundational to Blizzard, not an announcement of our complete platform plans. We’ll have more to share on platforms at a later date.”

“You can see that with Diablo IV. You should expect the same with Diablo V. We want everyone to take on the Lord of Terror.”

PS5, Xbox and Switch 2: intent, not an announcement

Shely told Esquire that Blizzard wants its games to reach as many players as possible and therefore aims to make Diablo available on many platforms – and that you should expect the same with Diablo V as with Diablo IV. In the group interview reported by PlayDay, the message was similar: “No specific platforms to announce right now,” but the team wants as many people as possible to play Diablo V. That is an intention, not a platform list.

Lists such as “PC, PS5, Xbox Series,” published by Gameswelt among others, are not based on anything Blizzard said. Speculation about the next console generation also comes from the press. As for Switch 2: Diablo IV has been available there as the Age of Hatred Collection since September 15, 2026, but nothing has been announced for Diablo V. We check more claims like these in our rumor check.

Steam, Game Pass, Mac and Steam Deck

There is no Diablo V listing in the Steam store (as of October 19, 2026). Diablo IV only arrived there on October 17, 2023, a little over four months after launching on Battle.net. Blizzard has not said whether Diablo V will be on Steam at launch.

It is the same story with Game Pass. Blizzard has been part of Microsoft since October 2023, and Diablo IV joined Game Pass in March 2024 – but that is no promise for Diablo V. There is no word on Mac or Steam Deck either. On the technical side, we only know that Diablo V runs on its own evolved branch of Diablo IV’s technology. Without official requirements, there is no way to tell what that means for your PC. Co-op across different systems is covered on our multiplayer page.

System requirements and age rating

Blizzard has not published minimum or recommended PC requirements. Until it does, any claim about graphics cards, processors or memory is a guess. There is one hint for controller players: during the panel, Shely promised “some really great solutions” for anyone worried about moving the large, multi-slot inventory items with a controller. That is not a console announcement.

There is no age rating yet either: neither the ESRB nor PEGI nor Germany’s USK has rated Diablo V. For comparison, Diablo IV is rated M (Mature) by the ESRB, PEGI 18 in Europe and 16+ by the USK.
