Diablo V
Diablo 5 Beta: Sign-Up, Server Slam and Early Access
Blizzard has not announced a beta for Diablo V (Diablo 5) – no closed or open beta, no Server Slam and no early access (as of October 19, 2026). On diablo5.blizzard.com you can only sign up for news, not for a test.

What the sign-up on the official website does
On diablo5.blizzard.com there is a button labeled “GET UPDATES.” It signs you up for Diablo V news, updates and announcements – nothing more. Blizzard does not promise a beta spot or priority access through it.
It is still worth signing up, since it explicitly covers announcements, and a test phase would be one of them. There is no separate beta form on any official Blizzard site, including news.blizzard.com (as of October 19, 2026).

What the team says about early testing
“We can bring players on campus and have real play tests with players from early on in development. […] So having the game be playable throughout development is a really important pillar of how we operate.”
“Bringing players into the process early gives us the opportunity to listen”
Quotes as published by the original sources.
On-site playtests are not a beta
“On campus” means Blizzard’s own premises: the team wants to invite players over and let them try Diablo V in early stages. Zitterman did not say who gets invited, when that happens or how to apply. That has little in common with a public beta open to everyone.
Be careful with reports claiming that test phases start in 2027: what Blizzard announced for 2027 is regular developer updates, not tests. Why the team is talking about the game this early is explained on our release date page; more false claims are collected in our rumor check.

For comparison: the tests before Diablo IV
Not a prediction, just a look back: Diablo IV launched on June 6, 2023. In March 2023 it had two beta weekends – first an early access beta for pre-order customers, then an open beta for everyone a week later. In May 2023 the Server Slam followed, another open weekend aimed mainly at testing the servers under load.
Buyers of the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition could start playing up to four days before the official launch. Blizzard announced the beta weekends in December 2022, together with the release date. Whether Diablo V will follow a similar path is open – there are no pre-orders yet; see price and editions.
