Invite-A-Friend codes are going out
Blizzard has started sending Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes to upgrade-edition owners, the Warcraft account announced on X on October 28, 2026 (PT). Each code lets a friend play World of Warcraft: Forever during launch week without their own subscription or Game Time. Launch week runs from November 4 through November 11, 2026, PST, with the global launch on November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST. For what newcomers should know before day one, see our starter guide news.
How many codes you get and how they work
The number of codes depends on the edition you bought:
| Edition | Invite-A-Friend codes |
|---|---|
| Skyborne Heroic Pack | 1 |
| Skyborne Epic Pack | 3 |
| Warcraft Forever Collection | 3 |
The code arrives by email. Copy it and send it straight to the friend you want to invite, who then redeems it through Battle.net. Codes only cover the launch-week window and do not grant beta access. To keep playing afterward, your friend needs an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time like everyone else.
Grouping only works on the same Ruleset and faction, so settle both with your friend before launch. All races and classes are listed on the classes and races page.
