When and where to watch
The developer stream starts on October 23, 2026, at 3 PM CDT on LastEpochGame on Twitch and YouTube. Eleventh Hour Games announced it on the official X account: Game Director Mike Weicker will take player questions about the week's topic, which this time is the Rage of Morditas mechanic. The show is a weekly Friday slot, and this episode also supports the Child's Play charity.
How Rage of Morditas works
Rage of Morditas is the core seasonal mechanic of Season 5, triggered by Blood Crystals found throughout Eterra in the campaign and in Echoes. A message on entering the zone and a mini-map marker point the crystal out. Touching it summons the shade of the demigod Morditas, and the first phase is a race to kill as many enemies as possible before his patience runs out. The rage bar tracks progress, and each threshold grants Bloodrage Charges. Along the way Morditas hands out random Bloodrage buffs, such as projectiles with a high freeze rate or blood orbs that detonate when enemies touch them.

When the timer expires, an arena of blood ice forms, and every enemy slain in the first phase rises again for one combined assault. Clearing this Gauntlet of Blood and Ice opens the Blood-Filled Crystal.
Rewards, rituals and Forging Potential
The Blood-Filled Crystal offers five rewards: four pieces of equipment and one slot for keys, crafting materials or resource bags. Every action costs one Bloodrage Charge, whether that is taking an item or performing a ritual. A Bloody Ritual sacrifices an item and bans its item type from the next roll, while a Frozen Ritual makes the next set match the sacrificed item's type. The more rituals used before picking, the better the rewards tend to be.

Items from a Frozen Ritual carry Ice Forging Potential, which has a chance to be preserved when crafting, and items from a Bloody Ritual carry Blood Forging Potential, which raises the critical success chance. Charges do not carry over between encounters, but the offered rewards stay until you pick one or perform a ritual.
The road to Morditas
Enemies slain during Rage of Morditas progress a three-part Echo chain in the Nexus that ends with Morditas himself; the Rage of Morditas quest tracks the steps in the Monolith of Fate. An Anger gauge makes these Echoes harder and more rewarding, and tribute lowers it again. Defeating Morditas drops the Woven Echo Demigod's Ascendance, which leads to the Pinnacle fight against the God of Bloodshed and requires 400 Corruption.
