Patch 5.1.2 is playable once maintenance ends on October 20–21, 2026. Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe go down on October 20 from 5 to 7 PM PDT; servers in the Americas follow on October 21 from 1 to 3 AM PDT. Event end times are listed in server time.
Hallows Phantom and the Long March
The Halloween event Hallows Phantom runs from October 21 (after maintenance) until November 11, 2026, at 2:59 AM. Westmarch is decorated for Hallows Wake, and after receiving a gift from The Crone, players take on a Halloween version of Defense of Cyrangar. Daily and weekly quests award Hallowed Stones, which can be exchanged for Gold, Arcane Dust, Telluric Pearls and Legendary Crests. The limited head cosmetics Headless Pyre, Headless Miasma and Headless Haunt are also up for grabs, along with prizes from server-wide leaderboards. Unused Hallowed Stones are removed when the event ends.
The Long March event campaign runs alongside it until November 11: tasks award Skeletal Spoils for Telluric Pearls, 1-star Legendary Gems, Set Items of your choice and selectable Legendary Item Chests. Weekly tasks reset every Wednesday at 3:00 AM. Selectable Legendary rewards now give a specific item instead of a random one from the chosen slot.

Balance, Essences and the Challenge Rift
The Gifts of Corvus battleground event (until November 16) gets a round of buffs: Local Censure suppresses skills for 5 instead of 4 seconds, Superior Bandage heals 15% instead of 10% Life every 0.5 seconds, Pulsing Shield deals 150% instead of 100% of your Shield, Portal Backlash deals 45% instead of 35% of maximum Life, Into the Fray cuts resurrection time by 75% instead of 50%, Fleet Strike doubles its bonus per 1% Movement Speed, and Bondbreaker grants 2 instead of 1 second of control immunity. Tower War runs daily from 10 AM–12 PM, 2–4 PM and 8–10 PM server time, Chaos Convoy all day, from level 46 via the Battleground Captain – see our battleground guide.
New Essences and Legendary Gear arrive, and Monk, Demon Hunter, Druid, Blood Knight and Warlock receive balance changes, which Blizzard detailed on its forums. With the new Inferno XV Legendary Essences, all Loyalty Points are converted into Legacy Loyalty Points. Season 21 of the Challenge Rift runs from November 2 to December 17, 2026, with new levels 901–950; the first player on each server to clear Floor 950 earns an exclusive portrait frame until Season 22.
Quality of life and bug fixes
Up to 22 items can now be pinned in the inventory, where they stay at the front with a gilded outline. The Secondary Item Rank cap rises from 25 to 30, tied to Paragon: Rank 26 at Paragon 1600, 27 at 1700, 28 at 1800, 29 at 2000 and 30 at 2100.
Fixes include the Wind Walk affix restoring too few charges, instant-cast skills being blocked after Breaker with the Tempest essence Mistwalkers, and incorrect Cascade visuals with Sumptuous Swell and Water Clogs.
