Update 1.1 is live

Rebel Wolves released Update 1.1 on all platforms on October 22, 2026, and posted the full patch notes on Steam. The headline features were announced earlier, as covered in our announcement news: the Draught of Mind Rebirth resets all Swordmastery, Witchcraft and Vampirism abilities, the old Story difficulty is now called Forgiving, and a new Story mode adds extra combat assist. You can try out a new allocation in the build planner first.

The notes also list FrameGen updates with dedicated settings, reworked combat animations and camera, better targeting, and more responsive surface targeting with Shadowstep and Planeshift. Blood and gore are no longer censored in the Japanese Steam version.

Merchants, gear and controls

The full notes add several quality-of-life changes around inventory and merchants:

  • Merchants now offer a Buyback feature, and equipped items are hidden when selling.
  • Items can be equipped in both presets, day and night, at the same time.
  • Item upgrade costs were rebalanced, especially at higher levels.
  • Controller deadzone settings were added, and several controller bugs in dialogue, the map and crafting were fixed.
  • Boars and wolves have less health at higher levels.

Bosses, quests and abilities

Most of the list is bug fixes for combat and quests. Burning Blood and Soul Reaping no longer damage Xanthe during her invincibility phases, the Matriarch no longer permanently loses her shield, and the Brencis fight creates fewer autosaves.

  • Voracious Bite: saving works again afterwards, and boar patrols no longer turn immortal.
  • Omniblock: stamina reduction can no longer exceed 100%.
  • Quests such as "Home Sweet Home", "Hive and Seek" and "Echoes of Silenced Bells": fixes for getting stuck, falling through the map and frame drops.
  • A beehive no longer provides infinite money, and a cathedral courtyard guard can no longer one-shot Coen before level 30.
