ArcheAge Chronicles Housing Guide: Plots, Houses, Blueprints and Furniture

by RaidDex Team · Published: Nov 1, 2026 · Updated: Nov 4, 2026

In ArcheAge Chronicles your house doesn’t sit in a private instance – it stands in the shared world. You rent a plot in a housing area, craft the house yourself from a blueprint, expand it floor by floor and furnish it. Housing has been part of the game since Early Access began. Here is everything for your first house: plots, house types, one complete build chain with all costs and the furniture vendors.

Housing furnishing mode in ArcheAge Chronicles: a room being decorated with furniture
In furnishing mode you place furniture and decor freely inside your house.

What housing offers

According to XLGAMES, houses can be customized in detail, with NPC housemates, shared housing areas and decor you can interact with. Because housing isn’t instanced, you’ll see other players’ homes out in the world. More on our World & Systems page. In game, housing sites are now called plots, and you pay rent with the Standard Rental Deed.

Plots: 41 sites in Seaglass Harbor Residences

On our world map, the “Housing plots” layer shows every plot. The game has two housing areas with three plot sizes, but only one of them is open in Early Access:

Seaglass Harbor Residences is the first housing area the main story shows you, and the only one in Early Access. It’s also where all the architects and furniture vendors live. Centrium Village Residence lies in Heartland, a region that is still locked in Early Access. Keep that in mind if you’re working toward a big house: Seaglass Harbor has just 3 medium plots and a single large plot.

Standard Rental Deed: paying rent for your plot

You pay for your plot with the Standard Rental Deed (formerly Plot Deed). According to its in-game description, each rental lasts 30 days, and the number of deeds needed is listed at each location. The same certificate also covers guild settlements.

  • Quest: Pier Patrol rewards 60 Standard Rental Deeds. The quest also promotes you to Trainee Operative of the Bluesalt Brotherhood.
  • Vendor: Nivhen on the second floor of the Pioneers’ Assembly Hall sells Standard Rental Deeds for 500 gold, up to 20 per week.

Nivhen also hands out the plots. Roesin, who sold the deeds before launch, is no longer in the Assembly Hall in Early Access.

Unlock cost and rent per plot size

Small plots can be rented right away; medium and large plots must first be unlocked with Hersander Tokens. In Early Access the medium plot takes 1,200 instead of 1,000 tokens.

PlotUnlockRent per 30 daysEquivalent at Nivhen
Small (21 × 21 m)–60 Standard Rental Deeds30,000 gold

Large (42 × 42 m)2,000 Hersander Tokens480 Standard Rental Deeds240,000 gold

Tip: The 60 deeds from the quest Pier Patrol cover exactly one small plot’s rent. Nivhen sells at most 20 deeds per week – buying a medium plot’s rent that way alone would take 12 weeks.

Houses, annexes and stations

Our database lists 25 houses: main houses in two styles (Romanesque and Gothic) and three sizes, plus annexes and crafting stations. Style is purely cosmetic, but Annex Architect June points out that only buildings of the same style can be connected – so pick one style for the house and its annexes.

Large Romanesque / Gothic Houselarge only3100,000 gold300,000 gold180× Fine Stone, 72× Fine Lumber, 6× Superior Stone, 10× Thunderstruck Shell

Every house starts as its first floor (1F). The second floor costs 20× Standard Stone, 20× Standard Ingot and 20× Standard Lumber for every size. Only the large house gets a third floor, at 45× each of Standard Stone, Standard Ingot and Standard Lumber. The Thunderstruck Shell for medium and large houses is bought with Hersander Tokens, for example from Didie at Central Wetlands Campsite for 5 tokens.

Annexes and stations

Annexes (A, B and C in each style) and stations attach to any house. An annex adds space but, according to its blueprint, takes up more plot space than a station. Annex Architect June sells the blueprints for 2,000 gold each, and the recipe needs 15× Standard Stone, 9× Standard Lumber, 6× Standard Additive and 3× White Marble plus a 10,000 gold crafting fee.

Stations bring a workbench right to your house. Station Architect Gyrenn sells their blueprints for 3,000 gold each, and every recipe takes 30× Fine Stone and 60× Fine Lumber plus two station-specific ingredients and a 45,000 gold crafting fee.

Building your first house: the full chain

Using the cheapest house, the Small Romanesque House (1F), as the example:

  1. Buy the blueprint: [Blueprint] Small Romanesque House (1F) from House Architect Sigg in Seaglass Harbor Residences for 5,000 gold.
  2. Make the stone: 30× Standard Stone with Smelting at a Smelting Furnace. Each one takes 3× Marble, 5× Sweetgrass Powder and 5× Shattered Blade and costs 100 gold.
  3. Make the lumber: 12× Standard Lumber with Wildcraft at a Spagyric Table, each from 3× Log, 5× Sweetgrass Powder and 5× Rag Scrap for 100 gold.
  4. Craft the house: with Engineering (Lv1) at the Construction Workshop, which stands right inside the Seaglass Harbor housing area. The fee is 24,000 gold.
  5. Place it: put the finished house on your plot.

In raw materials, the small house comes to 90× Marble, 210× Sweetgrass Powder, 150× Shattered Blade, 36× Log and 60× Rag Scrap. In gold, blueprint, stone, lumber and crafting add up to 33,200 gold, plus the rent. Standard Stone and Standard Lumber are also paid out by some trade routes.

Tip: The main story walks you through housing step by step: A New Place to Settle sends you to Nadella, Plans Before Bricks asks for a small house (1F), and Home Sweet Home ends with placing it. That earns you the Furniture Box: Ivy Fence, the Furniture Box: Hardwood Chair and the achievement A Place to Call Home, worth 5 Hersander Tokens.

Furniture and decor

The Furniture category holds 238 items. Almost all of them are sold for gold by four vendors in Seaglass Harbor Residences. Since Early Access began they cost almost ten times as much on median, and hardly any can be sold back to a vendor:

Furniture now comes in four rarities: 79 Common, 62 Uncommon, 60 Rare and 37 Epic. The priciest pieces are Epic, such as the Delphinad Chair and the Epherium Celestial Globe at 150,000 gold each. For the yard there are garden beds such as the Small Fertile Garden: you can place 6 per small plot, 10 per medium and 16 per large. The quest A Farmer’s Beginning gives you four.

During Early Access XLGAMES can adjust prices and amounts at any time – we keep the numbers up to date.
