Golden Future

We tried to rise. To escape. To save ourselves — to save the Mother Flame. But we are stuck. Something's got a hold of us, and we all know too well what it is. The plan now is to go into the flame. That is all we have left. And the others – they are grabbing things. Their most prized possessions. I don't know what they think will come out of it. Maybe they don't know either. But their panic is spreading and I feel it now too. The only thing I have left of real value are the full golden building blocks. They're much too heavy. I have to leave them behind and just hope. I am going in as I am. Knowledge is the only thing worth carrying anyway. Everything else is just weight. (But just in case, I hid them close by but out of sight. So when I come back, something is waiting for me)
