   • You have?
2. Edward: I sure have. Donella won't stop talking about you.
3. Edward: While it all came down to my prodigious insight, I shall admit you played your part as well.
4. Edward: From now on, I, Edward Proximus, shall vouch for your status.
5. Edward: With that said, you'll still need to join a company in order to be issued a Pioneer's Permit.
   • I've already joined.
   • Alright.
6. Edward: Ah, you there. A pioneer...no, a stowaway seems more fitting. Or just a nomad?
   • How did you know?
   • Where should I go now?
   • It's nothing.
7. Edward: I had my adjutant look into your records. Seems there's no official Pioneer's Permit under your name.
8. Edward: So you're either under a temporary permit...or a bonafide stowaway.
   • Are you going to report me?
9. Edward: (laugh) Not that a man of my standing cares about such trivialities.
10. Edward: My authority alone could resolve your troubles in an instant, no less...
11. Edward: But every matter still requires due cause.
12. Edward: While Eldok is away, I require you, [Player], to patrol the perimeter—acting as my "specially retained mercenary," if you catch my drift.
13. Edward: It seems the Silent Crossway are currently quite unruly, plagued by some unsavory elements.
14. Edward: Best to sweep away that rubbish before they throw in their lot with Malchuk.

15. Edward: You know him too? Well, there's nothing to fear.
16. Edward: If you run into him, tell him my name. He'll back down in the face of my glorious house.
