Three regions and 30+ hours at launch
Early Access includes three regions of Auroria, each with its own story and side quests. Executive Producer Yongjin Ham named them in the second developer update on October 21, 2026: Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains.
According to Ham, each region is built to offer more than ten hours even if you only follow the main quests, which adds up to over 30 hours. Side quests, dungeons and other activities extend that further.

Four classes, two weapons each
The four launch classes are Warrior, Ranger, Mage and Berserker. Each class wields two weapon types, and every weapon has its own combos, dodges and counterattacks, so the same class can play very differently depending on the weapon. See our weapon types page for an overview.

Beyond combat, Ham highlighted exploration, dungeons and raids, PvP, decorating your own house, crafting, trade, and Company and Guild activities. The game does not push you down a fixed path.

Buy-to-play at $29.99, no subscription
ArcheAge Chronicles is a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription fee. XLGAMES says it set the Early Access price to keep the first step accessible: $29.99 in the US and 36,000 won in Korea. The video did not give prices for Europe or other regions.
What comes after launch
XLGAMES says work on the first post-launch updates is already underway, with three focus areas:
- Removing gender restrictions, starting with select classes.
- Adding a third weapon for each class over time.
- Improving combat balance, character growth and quality-of-life features such as parties and channels.
Between Early Access and full release, the studio also plans more life and community content plus new regions and adventures. A development roadmap is due around the Early Access launch, and Ham noted the timeline may still change. Early Access schedule details are coming "soon"; our release and demo page tracks the latest dates.
