To my beloved Cloira,
I hope you're doing well. Our unit has recently traveled south. I'm not sure of the exact location, but they say it's not far from the port where we first arrived. I'm still struggling to get used to things here. Even the smell of the land is foreign. All I want is to reunite with you.
And after tonight, it will all be over. I'll finally be paid what I was promised and discharged. There's talk that we will be mounting an attack on an Ishvaran fortress to the west, but don't worry. I'll stay in the back lines. I can't afford to get hurt...not when I'm so close to returning home.
By the way, have you thought about what I mentioned last time? About us living together somewhere in the Gylden Plains? Whatever you say, I'll follow your lead. Wherever you go, I go. Until death do us part.
The horns are blowing now. Seems like we'll be moving out soon. It's odd... The horns are being sounded multiple times. Anyway, I'll end this letter here. I wonder if this letter will reach you first...or will it be me? Whichever it is, I hope to see you soon.
