Anonymous Letter

To my dearest few,
Forgive me for not signing my name. I know leaving the family's path may seem disloyal, but I cannot watch us sink under its grievous weight.

I choose to break its hold...leave a trace that may open a new way. It may seem foolish now, yet I believe one day you'll understand that this is the path to freedom.

I pray for peace upon our house and its lord, even as I tread in the shadows.
