This ruin is believed to have served as a temporary settlement for those who built Mailgrove during the Great Aurorian Era.
After Auroria's fall, it lay abandoned until the Dobavions claimed it as their own.
Early on, a number of bold scholars and adventurers ventured into Serpens' Domain. Oddly enough, the High Priest of the Dreadbreath Tribe was largely said to be articulate and unexpectedly courteous.
The Dobavion high priest spoke of a slumbering god beneath the land, claiming to seek a means to awaken it.
It is said the high priest has been making preparations at the Serpentshade Altar, though no one has managed to get close enough to learn what it is.
Yet no one dares enter Serpens' Domain of late. Many say those who enter never return.
As settlers continue to disappear, access to the western outskirts of Mailgrove has been restricted. Ill rumors have spread of an organization trafficking people into the domain.
