Ayanad Library – Archmage / Master / The Restored One
Alexander is remembered as the greatest magical mentor in the history of Delphinad.
He trained countless disciples, including Aranzeb and Kyprosa, and his teachings later gave rise to the Alexandrian School.
To him, magic was not power but responsibility; knowledge was not something to possess but to pass on. He was deeply involved in the design and operation of Ayanad Library, embedding powerful stabilizing and restoration magic into the structure itself so that mages could devote themselves wholly to research.
Ironically, this choice condemned the library with unnatural immortality. After its destruction, it became trapped in a loop that repeats the day before its fall. In order to stop the God of Destruction Kyrios, Alexander devised a desperate plan. Using a forged letter in Kyprosa's name, he lured Kyrios to Ayanad and prepared a trap with the other mages.
The plan failed. Enraged, Kyrios destroyed Ayanad, and Alexander lost his life upon the walls of Delphinad alongside his companions. Yet death was not the end. Through the restoration magic lingering in the library, he revived just as he was the day before the destruction, unaware that he had already died, endlessly repeating his final mission to stop Kyrios.
Recently, another form of Alexander has been observed within the Bloodroot Expanse. Through the distorted restoration magic of the Ayanad Fragment, he briefly manifested in the present era as a "Restored One," possessing a physical body.
Realizing that this endless repetition was the result of another's manipulation, he attempted to recover the Memory Core in order to break the cycle. To this end, he chose a single collaborator. The reason was never explained, though it seemed he saw potential in one unfettered by fate.
After the Memory Core was reclaimed, the magic sustaining his existence weakened. Alexander accepted that he would soon fade from the present age. His final request was simple: destroy the Ayanad Library Registry within the Purification Brazier, so that the names and souls of the mages would never be bound again.
Alexander did not succeed in saving the world, but he never once wavered in the belief that knowledge and history alike should never become mere tools for the living.
