May His Majesty's mercy and the radiance of the Eznan royal family shine eternal.
And may glory be with you, General.
It's been some time since the Eznan royal army found the underground entrance and confirmed it as the ruins of Capernaum.
After moving the Capernaum relics, the ruins were officially sealed, but there have been reports of loud, odd noises coming from the Ravenous Fortress.
The sounds are far too loud to come from wandering skeletons or mangled corpses.
I'm particularly concerned about what our young researcher Bekro reported. Shortly after arriving, he accidentally wandered into the underground passage late one night. Bekro said he saw iron stakes driven into various places within the ruins.
We do not know if these stakes were already present during the royal army's prior investigation, but it seemed strange enough to report.
Bekro mentioned one stake deep in the ruins that stood out. It looked as if a serpent had coiled around it.
I shared this with the officers stationed here, but they said they cannot enter the ruins without orders from the Ezna.
I kindly request the royal army to reinvestigate the ruins beneath the laboratory.
P.S. I'm sending some alligator turtle leather from Auroria. I've heard that your wife is quite fond of it and so I hope it pleases her.
