A natural stronghold that once served as the capital of the ancient dwarven kingdom of Aitum.
When Capernaum seized Whalesong Shores and marched against the kingdom, the dwarven king and his followers made their final stand at Highwind Bulwark.
Though the land favored defense, they were slowly starved out and the stronghold fell from within. As a result, Capernaum chose not to erect a city there.
Centuries later, Capernaum itself made its last stand at Highwind Bulwark against the forces of Shatigon. Like the dwarves before them, they met the same fate, undone from within. After the fall of Auroria and for the long years before our return, Highwind Bulwark was no more than derelict ruins until it was repurposed by the Wyrdwinds as an airship foundry.
