The Nuian priests of Benedictus Shrine claim that the massive underground temple was built in antiquity to worship the Goddess Nui. However, the more I explore its depths, the more I begin to doubt.
The Goddess is said to have first appeared in this world during the Era of Fire, but the temple seems to have been constructed much earlier. Not only that, but its geometric design is far too advanced for the ancient architectural techniques of that era. There are countless tunnels leading to unknown destinations...
These unsettling details have stirred my suspicions and even disrupted my sleep. Still, I have no desire to dishonor the will of Nui or the memory of those who sacrificed their lives.
After much consideration, I have decided to venture deeper into the temple. Call me mad, but it feels as if the old door on the other side of the collapsed passage is calling out to me.
This is my calling as a member of the Antiquary Society.
Perhaps this marks a new beginning for the study of Aurorian relics.
