Trauma Team's latest offer of a base package with so-called surgical serial codes has sparked controversy among clients and legal experts. Why? Trauma Team is planning to sell its cheapest health insurance option to those who agree to treat implants and other cybermodifications (software included) with special surgical serial codes that would register the type of implant, its functionality, date of installation as well as live monitoring of implant usage with data being sent back to TT. Of course, the corporation claims that the data would be anonymous, parsed by an AI solely for the purposes of optimizing medical services. But then why do the surgical codes only appear in the cheapest insurance plans? And what kind of anonymity are we talking about exactly when the contract states that surgical codes will be linked to patients' biomonitors, biometric data, active location and statistical data? Unfortunately, this appears to be nothing more than a monopolistic move in the medical sector aimed at the most vulnerable patients.
