YAIBA was founded in 2041 by Daigo Shinohara, a fourth-generation artisan descended from a line of traditional Japanese swordsmiths.
Though born into the family forge, Daigo was never inspired by the blades themselves, but their motion and speed. He became enthralled by the idea of transforming the precision and spirit of legendary weapons into something living, breathing. To him, the motorcycle is a modern reimagining of the katana – elegant, dangerous and deeply personal.
