No, it is, it definitely is. But I think B movies can show us glimpses back into the society of the time just as well. I know, I know... Gable's iconic line and all that, but those old classics keep pulling on the same nostalgic, retrotopian strings.

Not sure I see that as a problem. Kinda the whole point -- creating a brand new reality, not just a reproduction of it.
